Not [yet] a Member?

Then you can still read our page, to find out what we're about, and see what a good step it would be to join us!

You can also visit our Membership page to find out a bit more. And while you're there, you can find links to our Application Form, and our New Members' Welcome Pack.

Or if you have further questions, contact our Membership Secretary.

We are all volunteers: New volunteers always welcome!

Dunstable u3a is run for the members by the members and nothing gets done if no one volunteers to do it! Quite simply, Dunstable u3a can’t run without your input.

There are numerous opportunities to contribute to the life of our u3a, and thereby do your bit to enhance the lives of others, while also giving you that feeling of satisfaction in a job well done. It's well documented that volunteering is good for your health!

For example, you could help someone to run an existing interest group, or you could start a second group in a similar vein, if an existing group has a waiting list. Or start a new group with a completely new focus, to reflect your own interests. Who knows how many like-minded people you will find?

Or you could join our committee, to help run the central organisation here in Dunstable, or to focus on a specific project area, such as organising outings with our Social Committee, or pulling together our annual Christmas Concert. If you think you could help out in this sort of thing, please contact our Chair to get started.

Or you can always come along to one of our monthly meetings (third Monday of every month at the Methodist Church, Ashton Square, in the middle of Dunstable). Doors open at 1:15 for you to chat with any of our current team, with a guest speaker to entertain you from 2-3pm.

Ballroom Dancing

You do not have to be Fred Astaire

You do not need to be an expert, but basic knowledge of the steps is a big help

You do want to meet and greet friendly people.

Come and join us for tea and biscuits and an afternoon of Dance music, bring a friend if you care to.

Manchester Place, Lubya Hall, 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Looking forward to meeting you.

RECORDER CONSORT

The Recorder Consort would like to recruit some new members. We are a friendly group who meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday from 10am to 12.30 in Edlesborough. You just need to be able to play a recorder and sight read music. We enjoy making music together in a relaxed way and have a nice chatty coffee break in the middle of our practise. Get in touch with the GLO if you are interested and you can come and see if you like us.

Feedback

Trustees are very keen to receive feedback from the membership. Please send us your views about what we are doing well or what we need to improve. If you have a brilliant idea or even a vague suggestion of what might improve the lives of fellow members, why not share it with others. This is your page so post a message to your friends.
