Monthly Meetings
On the 3rd Monday of the month at The Square, Methodist Church the monthly meeting and Social Events are held. Remember to bring a friend - they don’t have to be a u3a member.
Doors open at 1.15 pm, and the speaker's presentation starts at 2.00 pm. Please enter via the Church Hall doors (opposite Boyes) and not through the main Church doors.
This allows time to:
- - Meet up with new & old friends for a cup of tea or coffee
- - Browse through the books on sale for 30p each
- - Visit the Social Committee and book an outing or event
- - Connect with the GLO’s and discuss what group you would like to join.
- – Meet the Trustees & provide them with any necessary feedback

The Social Committee is not a group and outings are open to all members of the U3A
For insurance reasons you need to be a member of the U3A before you book to go on an outing, and still be a member on the day of the trip.
The Booking List opens two months prior to the outing and final payment is taken on the third month. A non-refundable deposit to cover the cost of the coach seat is required by all members at the time of booking for an outing. The amount of deposit will be displayed in the hall.
You will need to show your membership card on first booking. We will also require your phone number in case we need to contact you.
We will not take names before the booking list opens other than committee members and people required to help in the hall. We will only take your name and one other member of the Dunstable U3A and you will need to pay their deposit, show their membership card and provide a phone number.
If you have paid for an outing and are unable to go please notify the Leader. We will try to sell on your ticket, but if we are unable to do this, the coach fare and prepaid admissions to venues are not refundable. If you are buying a ticket which has already been paid for, you will need to arrange payment in full to that member. Contact the Leader if you are unable to get to the meeting to pay for your ticket, so we can make alternative arrangements with you.
Please bring your ticket with you on the day of the outing. Information about the trip is on your ticket and has the Leaders name and mobile number on it, so you can contact the Leader if necessary. Your ticket has a number on it; this is not your seat number but is numbered for our records.
When you purchase your ticket you will also be asked to fill in and hand back an emergency contact number form. The Leader will need this on the day of the outing and this must also include your mobile number so we can contact you if necessary on the outing.
The coach has only one pick up and drop off point in Bull Pond Lane, near the Salvation Army.
