Aims and Objectives of the group: To learn more of the thoughts and teachings of established philosophers, ancient & modern, and considering the relevance of these to the modern world.

Any expertise needed: An open and enquiring mind, and the ability to listen to other peoples' ideas and thoughts and reflect on what is said.

Equipment needed: None, though access to the internet is very useful, and there is a book that is recommended.

Maximum number permitted in the group: 8

Location, day and time of meetings: Member homes, first Friday at 14.00 to 15.30

A brief description of a typical meeting: Each member brings to the meeting their results of researching the topic decided at the previous meeting. Tea at about halfway. Then a general discussion out of which emerges the next meeting's topic for research.
