This museum is dedicated to the conservation of historic buildings, from the South of England. It brings life stories from the communities over the last 950 years. The site covers 40 acres and you can explore a combination of 50 traditional homes, and work places of village and countryside. Within the exhibit houses there maybe demonstrations of dairying and cooking, spinning and weaving Preparation of natural dyes, using herbs to make medicines and cosmetics, cleaning and laundering.
The Repair shop is filmed in one of the large barns on the site. This is a closed film set and not accessible to the public. There is a cafe, gift shop and visitors centre. The paths around the site vary in materials and are uneven by nature, so may cause difficulty to people with impaired mobility.
