Eve Bacon will be visiting to tell us about spices and medieval society.

Eve is a retired teacher and has been an historical interpreter for over 30 years. She has extensive experience of delivering presentations in museums, heritage sites and TV, including the National Army Museum, English Heritage, The National Trust, The Wellcome Collection and The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and has appeared in documentaries for The National Geographic TV and Film. She has developed a series of characters and presentations for a variety of interest groups.

Eve has a passion for spices that were used in the past. Using a display of spices, some of which are uncommon in the 21st century, she explains where the Medieval person thought they came from and how they illustrated society. The audience has the opportunity to taste the past.
