Come with us on our trip to Warwick Castle which is a medieval castle situated on a meander of the River Avon. It was developed from a wooden fort built by William the Conqueror during 1068, rebuilt in stone during the 12th century and used as a stronghold until the early 17th century. It was then converted to a country house by the Grenville family until being sold in 1978 and sold to the Tussauds Group. It is a magnificent castle to visit with many treasurers to see and enjoy, including grounds of 690 acres designed by Capability Brown in 1749 and completed in 1757. Formal gardens were created in the castle grounds in 1868-9. Warwick Castle is an iconic heritage site where you can experience the fun of real history through immersive attractions and spectacular live entertainment.
