Description of Group Activities:

We have formulated a schedule for 2026 which shows the events and home visits for the year.  This includes visits to snowdrop, bluebell and daffodil Gardens in the spring. And in April , we’re having a plant and product or seeds swap in a members home.

We will also refer to the Garden Visitors Handbook for 2026 to select places to visit during the summer months.

Some members have offered to host events in their homes in the ‘quieter garden months’, such as, in November 2025 a  tea and coffee social event to plan our schedule for 2026 , in December a Christmas quiz on gardening with shared Christmas refreshments, and in January a DVD show on gardening.

We’ve agreed to offer car share when visiting garden events to help those who do not drive.  And that places we jointly plan to visit are not too far away and nor too expensive. The nature of the group is that Members of the Gardening Group are invited to host events in pairs, so that the group shares the running of events , and no one or two members are left to manage everything on their own.

Costs would need to be applied as warranted for visits to various places.
