A brief description of a typical meeting:

Each member takes it in turn to introduce a programme. They have 2-3month s notice! This member explains the music we are about to hear, a little of the composer's life and times, and reasons for choosing it if any.

The programme usually has a theme eg Baroque music; little known composers; music of celebration etc. The pieces may last from 3 to 20 minutes each.

Each member brings their own music, but may have some group money to purchase a CD if required.

The group decided this format at the start.
