Aims and Objectives of the Group:

To encourage and expand knowledge and interest in science and technology by talks and discussions given by members of the group and speakers from other organisations/businesses. Visits to places of interest are also arranged

Max number permitted in the group: 30

Currently there are vacancies. Periodic membership subscription to cover hall rental.

A Brief description of a Typical Meeting:

We have a programme of talks/presentations on a wide variety of science or technology subjects given either by a member of the group or by an invited outside speaker. This is usually followed by questions and discussion. Alternatively we may watch a video borrowed from the U3A Resource Centre and occasional group outings are arranged.
